Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the costs of staying with you?

As we offer a multitude of treatments, we find it easier to discuss pricing in person or over email to ensure that it properly reflects every person’s individual needs. The first step is to fill out our patient registration form, this form will provide our team with the necessary information regarding your mental and physical health as well as reason for seeking the medicine so that we then can provide a sound recommendation for your treatment plan.

  • How do I best prepare for an ayahuasca ceremony?

The best way to prepare is to maintain a diet low in sugars, salts, oils (no fried food), no read meat, abstain from alcohol, drugs and sexual intercourse at least a few days prior to the ceremony but the longer before, the better. Once you get to our space, we urge you to take some time to turn off your cell phone, clear your head and focus on your intention for why you will be drinking.

This is why we highly recommend doing a tobacco ceremony followed by a master plant diet to best prepare your body for the ayahuasca ceremony.

  • Can I join a ceremony even if I don't drink ayahuasca?

Sometimes. This is determined at the discretion of our curandero.

  • How often do you hold ayahuasca ceremonies?

It varies and partly depends on the need of patients but we usually one every three days. The tobacco ceremonies can be held more frequently, however.

  • I have never drunk ayahuasca before, what do I need to know?

Ayahuasca is a psychotropic medicine brew with the active ingredient is DMT (di-methyl tryptamine). DMT is also found naturally in all living things, including the human body. When ingested, the patient can have visions (although this may not happen), heightened auditory and sensory attention. What separates ayahuasca from any other substance, is that it works on a very deep psychological level. This means that at times, patients may uncover issues that have only previously lived in their subconscious mind (which can, at times, be uncomfortable). Many feel their minds working in a different manner and finding new perspectives on their lives and the world around them. And most importantly, it is used (and has been used by South American indigenous tribes for thousands of years) to treat a myriad of physical and mental illnesses.

  • Can I bring my children to the center?

We advise against to bringing children or family members who will not be participating in our treatments. This is to give you the best possibility to focus 100% on your treatment.

  • How long does the ceremony last?

Our ayahuasca ceremonies last about three hours. They start at 9pm and end at midnight, sometimes the ceremony may be extended until 1am or 2am, as our curandero sees fit.

  • How many people usually participate in the ceremonies?

We hold ayahuasca ceremonies from anywhere between three to 20 people.

  • Are there any risks with drinking ayahuasca?

Please see our page on medical precautions regarding this topic. Apart from this, one risk (though it is a serious one), is that you drink with someone who does not have your best interest in mind. Just as there is light in the world there is too the opposite.

Even if you decide not to drink with us, we urge you to take extremely serious precautions when seeking out who you drink with.

  • Can I drink ayahuasca if I'm pregnant?

We advise not to drink while pregnant.
